About Ghostwriting...
Ghostwriting extends the privilege of authorship to people who for any reason are not able to write the book, speech, or other text-based project they need to produce.
Some people have a hard time accepting ghostwriting as a legitimate editorial service. Their concerns are valid. Ghostwriting can be used in highly unethical ways. For example, if you are asked to place your name as the author of a piece you have not written or planned and that does not reflect your ideas and conclusions, it would be dishonest of you to claim that you are the author of that piece.
An ethical ghost works closely with you to capture your thoughts and experiences. You remain the author throughout the process and have the right to challenge what is written.
Besides politicians, people who need ghostwriting most include—
- Writers whose native languge is not English
- Professionals with extreme time limitations
- People who feel they lack writing skills
